Installed 6 weeks ago. Was hesitant on being a counter depth refrigerator but it is plenty of space and I dont have to find things at the back that are past throwing out. I cant believe how long my produce lasts now. Use to be a week at most this refrigerator doubled that easily. The convenience door with instant view is used multiple times a day. Lastly it is quiet something we looked for since we have an eat in kitchen and an open layout to the family room. We love it

The capacity and features are very good. However we started experiencing issues first with the craft ice maker and then with the cooling system after only about a year in service. The appliance center which does the service work under the enhanced warranty we purchased has been very difficult to schedule. The parts that have been ordered from LG have taken a very long time to arrive. The service tech cant even schedule another in home visit until the parts are in hand. Bottomline we have been with out a working refrigerator and freezer for over a month with no end in site.

i like the refridgerator in its ability to cool and i like the craft ice very much but the water taste is terrible. I put in a new filter and its still bad tasting. With no filter it tastes bad. The water line is brand new so its not that.

Problem with Craft Ice

Most of the features are as you would expect. Quiet operation nice design and build quality and we like the adjustable layout inside the fridge.
However weve had repeated issues with the craft ice maker. Within 1.5 years of owning the product the craft ice stopped working 3 times. The first time it was still under warranty and it was promptly replaced kudos to customer service. Then shortly after warranty expired it stopped working again and we had to pay for repairs out of pocket. It costs about $200 to order the part not including labor. So after it failed the third time we just decided to give up on it. Looking online it seems that there are several other customers with the same issue so this is not an isolated case.
At this point we dont use the craft ice anymore. If you decide to buy this model you should assume that it does not have craft ice because it may not work past the first few months. If you dont care about this feature this is not a deal breaker.

I have had this fridge for 8 months. I gave it two stars because they have room for improvement. I love the look and the size and how things fit in it.
I strongly dislike the way the water dispenses out of the spigot. It comes out at an angle and makes a huge mess if someone not used to it. The ice machine you need to keep opening it up to break up the clumps. It is hard to remove the air filter for replacement. The water filter is very easy to replace.

A year ago I bought five kitchen appliances from LG. Three if the five have had problems. The worst being the top portion of the wall oven - non working since 11/2 today is 11/27.
Their customer service is absolutely the worst I have EVER dealt

Our refrigerator is a year and a half old and stopped working twice. Had an LG technician come out to replace the compressor the first time. The second time there was a freon leak that needed to be fixed. Lost over $500 in food reimbursed $150 by LG. Would not recommend.

Bought this so called counter-depth refrigerator for our new kitchen as part of the LG Studio appliance package. It looks nice but has a major engineering design flaw. The door hinge is positioned too close to the body and when the door swings open it hits the cabinet on one side and the countertop on the other. To avoid it I had to pull the refrigerator about 1 inch out. So instead of counter depth refrigerator that they falsly claim it shows an ugly side wall sticking out for an inch. I dont understand how the big company like LG couldnt test their flagship Studio refrigerator for door clearances. What a major failure and disappointment.

The Studio line of appliances looks great. In general the refrigerator and freezer work well. Space is adequate for a counter depth fridge.
My one gripe with the fridge is the amount of ice it produces. We have 3 people in our home and I have the in-door ice maker as well as the Craft Ice maker set to make 6 balls but it doesnt seem to be enough.

I purchased the STUDIO style fridge about a month ago. I like the look of it compared to other models. The price was a little high compared to other brands but we have loved it so far. I actually just went out and purchased a new LG washing machine this week because I like the things LG has been offering Only complaint is that the water still taste like plastic and Ive run at least 20 gallons thru the fridge.

We love our new refrigerator. Love that we can open only one side and get to a crisper drawer or one side of fridge. Love the exterior door for milk juice wine. The freezer is great for organizing and seeing what we have with the 3 drawers. We use the water and ice in the door most of the time but love the craft ice too. The craft ice maker quit working a few months after our purchase but we called for service and they came out the same day with a replacement. Apparently they had upgraded the craft ice maker. We also love the app where we can see how often and for how long the doors are open and it will tell us if there is anything wrong or time to replace a filter. Really great refrigerator.

Refrigerator is very nicely designed with several upgrades from my previous one. I really like the craft ice. I also enjoy the door in door compartment. It makes it easy to grab my creamer for coffee without opening the entire refrigerator. The countertop depth still provides ample space for storage.

Replaced all kitchen equipment with the signature series. But one of my favorite pieces is the refrigerator. The short door as we call it is fantastic. Easy and quick opening for the frequent use items butter milk wine etc highly recommend giving it a long look. Works great for us.

Weve had our refrigerator for almost a year and when I open a door I still say out loud how much I love it. It holds so much food in both the fridge and the freezer and its nice that I only need to open one door many times to get something out. We love the extra door where we keep milk OJ wine etc. So nice to not have to open the entire fridge. We had to call service because the craft ice quit working but they came out the same day and replaced it newer model. We are having some issues with the in-door ice maker melting and freezing up when the weather is in the 80s. Still working on that issue or I would give it 5 stars.

We had doubts after the first delivery was a total wreck dealer assured us they had a replacement showroom one was also damaged and an absolutely PERFECT refrigerator showed up yesterday. We LOVE this thing - so many features I really dont think theres anything on the market even close to this. We bought LGs double-oven stove last year - again blows the competition away - and this refrigerator is a worthy companion.

The craft ice maker makes a LOUD banging noise before dropping the ice. It sounds as if someone is pounding on the wall with a hammer. The door ice maker often fuses new ice cubes that lock the bar in the full condition. Clearing the jam works but often the ice maker needs to be reset.

One gorgeous piece of equipment Having to upgrade our 22 year old refrigerator was not an easy task with so many options. After recently purchasing the LG washer and dryer combo the decision was easy. Many months of research of all the LG lines we decided on the Studio instaview with craft ice. This fridge has mega space for all your needs. The craft ice is a special touch for libations. The freezer with three slide out draws has room for everything. Note after much research we let fridge sit at room temp for 4 hours before plugging in. We waited another four hours for fridge to be perfect pre set temp before stocking fridge. Fridge is so quiet we need to open to see if actually running. The beautiful gray interior adds to the modern look. The LG app is a must have as it assists with all usage including production of craft ice and maintenance. Many compliments on this new addition adding a touch of class to the space. Thank You LG

Ive and water on the door are great. Being able to open one section to grab milk or juices is very convenient. My favorite feature is the craft ice cube maker in the freezer drawer.
The cubes are great for cocktails and sports bottles.
