When it was time to move on from my well -used Bosch electric cooktop, I chose their 30 inch Benchmark Induction model. Wise choice. Faster; More precise; Lots of bells and whistles. Some observations: Green Pan induction-ready pans I bought to use with this did not work! All others work fine. You do have to match size of pot/pan to burner. There is little tolerance there. Probably only thing I do not like. Smaller pan on larger burner can be a problem. The 4 magnets aligned on the left side led me to buy this unit and I do love that configuration. I am using just a spray bottle of white vinegar and it keeps it brand new looking. Solid best choice induction cooktop!

This was the first time we decided to use induction. Normally, we wouldn't even consider properties without gas cooking options. This induction definitely exceeded my expectations (I did get French-made induction ready pots and pans). Excellent cooking performance, as well as very quiet.

So far, so good. The pans heat up quickly and I find the controls easy to learn and operate. The speed boost is great for bringing liquid to a boil rapidly. I do wish the largest cooking element was at the front of the stove. I don't like reaching over a pan on the smaller element.

Unfortunately, the front trim on the cook top glass started coming off after only a week, requiring a service call. After their review, they had to order a new top which is now on back order. Frustrated!

We decided to replace our old Bosch gas Gas Cooktop 30" NGP735UC with an Induction unit, mainly becuase the Downdraft DHD 805AUC unit was not going to last. I'd repaired it a couple of times and parts are no longer available. So far, I like the Induction unit, but I'm still learning the feel for the thing. I love the speedboost for things like a quick boil for a poached egg and getting pasta water to temp. I specifically ordered this model for the flex area where I've used my cast iron griddle. I've been putting parchment paper under it to avoid scratches. I haven't gotten my head around autochef or power move. The hood controls don't work with the new HDD80051UC downdraft so they're useless buttons. I think the control area could be designed a little better and I think the temperature numbers should feel more like a glide switch. Unlike the oven I've yet to see a benefit to the wifi app. Since the cooktop area gets used as a counter surface at times we bought a silicone mat to cover when not in use. Something Bosch might consider adding.

We had to replace our original Bosch induction cooktop when the wiring underneath began to smoke. We'd been very happy with it for 13 years so we decided to replace it with another Bosch unit. Our new unit heats quickly and the temperature can be controlled in small increments. The biggest reason we upgraded from our original 800 model to the Benchmark version was the ability to have the bridge element which allows the use of a griddle. The Speed Boost feature allows me to boil water so fast that I have to have my mug and teabag ready before I turn it on.

This is our second Bosch Induction cooktop. The first was over 10 years old and had an unfortunate accident that broke the glass top. This new model surprised us with its automated cooking controls and wireless capability. Same great cooking power and control, but even more convenient and connected.

We have had the Bosch Benchmark Induction Cooktop for a year now, and have been very happy with the purchase. The performance is outstanding, and we are still surprised at how quickly this cooktop heats up cookware to desired temperature and adjusts instantly. It seems at least as responsive to temperature adjustment as the gas cooktop it replaced, or even better. We also really like the flexibility of the burners and the ability to configure the large cooking area on the left as either a single burner or two separate ones. It has been completely trouble-free, and looks great in our kitchen. Highly recommended if you are in the market for an induction cooktop.

Bosch Warranty Coverage when purchasing from Lowes

My bottom left burner is not working due to a temperature probe not working properly. I purchased the unit from Lowes but discovered that Bosch is one of the few brands Lowes does not provide service for. I live in a rural area and do have an authorized service dealer but they are relunctant to provide service since I did not purchase the unit from them. Everything works great except for this critical component and I am certain I would be giving 5 stars if not for the warranty coverage. The Bosch customer service people have been helpful but I am still uncertain whether it will ever be repaired. Buyer beware - just make sure you have warranty repair locally if buying from Lowes.

incorrect information about compatible pots/pans

before buying our NITP060SUC we read and researched which pots and pans were compatible with the induction cooktops. Bosch showed a picture of compatible pots and pans with little descriptive information but showed cast iron, stainless steel etc.. Now after the fact, our unit is up and running and the instruction book clarifies that not all stainless steel pots are compatible. either they were lazy or indifferent doesn't seem to matter now, as i'm out big bucks to replace pots and pans that don't work. No, Bosch did not say in their sales broches that some stainless steel won't work. in their user manual it does say only certain stainless steel with "ferromagnetic" compostition will work. It's hard to know if Bosch is lazy or indifferent or only looking for sales. Bosch used to mean something, regarding quality and honesty, now i'm no longer conviced this is the case.

amazing how quickly pant heat up. I did have one experience where none of the controls worked. Shut off circuit breaker and turned on. Cooktop reset & all is OK
