New addition to our home

Our older Maytag refrigerator was on the brink of going out. The panel on the door was illuminating on and off, so we decided to purchase a new refrigerator. We looked at the latest models that didn't have all the bells and whistles like door panels with ice water dispense, television, or any hook up to internet. This model stood out to us and are very happy we chose this model. The drawers are smooth gliding, very easily adjustable shelves in doors. Also has an interior water dispensing spout that keeps the grandchildren from knowing there is even one on the unit...Ha! Ha! So far no problems and does make nice sized ice cubes, instead of the large chunks of ice our old fridge made.

I never leave reviews, but this unit and company has been a DISASTER. I bought this from Home Depot. The first fridge they delivered died within 48 hours. They sent a second fridge that has NEVER stopped running since it was delievred. My electric bill has gone up. I've had a repairman out 4 times. They have replaced 5 parts. Apparently frost on all freezer items is normal and it's also normal for this model to run 90% of the time. DO NOT BUY. Also TERRIBLE customer service. They ask you dumb questions like, "is it plugged in?"

Overall we are quite pleased with our new double door refrigerator. The crisper drawers and the additional drawer, the adjustable shelves in the fridge & on the doors are all quite roomy. We love having the water spout on the inside of the door and the ice maker in the freezer. The one thing we™€™re surprised with and not so crazy about is that the motor seems somewhat noisy at times.

Space and function seem good. However, I have had the unit one month and the freezer door handle has started coming off every time we open it. The metal piece that the screw goes behind to hold the handle in place is bent and ruined and will not hold the handle on anymore. Because the handle falls off unexpectedly when opening, the front of the freezer door is now scratched one month into owning it.

Big fridge, great value

We have had ur new fridge for about a week now and like it very much. It is being used as an overflow beverage fridge and is located in our laundry room with no water connection, so we don™€™t use the water dispenser or ice maker. I am considering getting a t-connection and installing a line from the clothes washer hose bib. Only two small issues so far: the door seal on the freezer has a small tear in it ( probably caused by door removal when it was being brought in the house and needed to clear a narrow door opening) and 2) the divider panel on the left side French door is misaligned with the open/close guide and doesn™€™t return to the sealing position when the door is closed. I can loosen a few screws and realign that, so it is easily tweaked. All of the other features with the fridge are fine, work great, and we think we made a terrific purchase.

We had the new refrigerator installed several weeks ago. I love the ice cube shape and size after 28 years with those half moon shaped ice cubes created by our previous refrigerator. We are still getting used to the french door and freezer drawer layout, but I think we will like it. Unfortunately, the freezer drawer doesn't completely seal properly and the french doors of the refrigerator are not properly aligned, but that may be the fault of the installers as they had to remove all doors and to get it into our kitchen. Time will tell whether it holds up as well as our previous refrigerator that has been relocated to the garage after 28 years in the kitchen.

This Frigidaire refrigerator checks all my boxes. I researched before my purchase. I visited 2 appliance stores that have a variety of brands on their show floor. I have owned one french door refrigerator prior to this model. The ice and ice water are not on the outside door which is a feature I really liked. They are hidden which I like. The price, quality and features were my ideal refrigerator. I will be taking out the extra warranty protection because I want this refrigerator to have a long life.

Originally I wanted a side-by-side refrigerator but after reading reviews decided on this French Door model instead. One key reason was that this model has the least intrusive water dispenser as it's in the door and since I did not want this feature, its placement was the best for me. Compared to my previous fridges, this one is roomy and so quiet. It holds the temperature well and I have not yet detected any frozen items in the back of the fridge. I'm still getting used to it, but overall am very pleased with this purchase and it (and the Frigidaire range I also purchased) certainly upgrade the look of my kitchen.

Worse fridge and experience

This has to be the worse fridge and its LESS than 30 days old. 1st the freezer drawers were off track, then the screw strip the handle is suppose to attach to were intalled upside down, now im getting a CE ERR on the panel. Which happened after a tech came out to fix the drawers that he basically broke 1 of the brackets off to fix so the top freezer drawer dont come forward when opening unless I manually pull forward, but I was willing to live with that until the error. I had another tech scheduled to come out today for the error btwn 8-12 no call no show. I called fridgidare after 12 who stated they couldnt get in touch with the tech and they were considered delayed, and to call back at 5 if they still dont come. Well they didnt come, no call no show and I called back for them to tell me they couldnt get in touch with a tech as they are closed. Offered to reschedule 5 days out with a time of 8-5, after I stayed home all day today for a no call no show and still have a broken fridge, I just brought 4 Fridgidare appliances stove, microware, disasher and fridge, as previous appliances I had worked well, but this fridge has been a nightmare!
